Mary’s work will include work inspired by a range of climates: Tropical to Arctic and everything in between.
Mary predominantly works using print and drawing, with the incursion of some textile ideas, artist books and scrolls. Her travels in a wide range of environments and landscapes have informed a range of different responses over the last few years, most recently her production of the Glacial Narratives series of exhibitions from residencies in Svalbard and in Greenland. This is in stark contrast to her tropical plant series, inspired by travels many years ago but still vibrant in her memory. Her print-making processes are mostly mono print and photo etching, and she is also including work created on the Edinburgh Printmakers’ laser.
