A selection of recent colourful linocut prints depicting the wild birds that Caroline has seen around Scotland.

Caroline is an East Lothian based wildlife artist and printmaker. She makes multi-layered, colourful prints of wild birds using the reduction lino printing process. The birds that she uses as subjects are animals that Carline has encountered travelling around Scotland. Many of them are from the coast line along the Firth of Forth but some are from the Shetland Isles where Caroline completed a residency In 2004.  

Caroline has a BA (horns) in Fine Art Printmaking from Glasgow School of Art and an MLitt in Museum and Gallery Studies from St Andrews University. In 2023 she was awarded the Roy Wood prize for printmaking at the RSA annual show and in 2024 she won the Hawthorn  prize for her print of a herring gull at the Printmakers of Scotland Festival of Printmaking.
