Who We Are
Art Walk Weekends evolves out of the original Art Walk Porty event (first established in 2015), delivering an annual event focussed on the walkable neighbourhood of Portobello & Joppa’s creative community.
The festival is produced by Art Walk Projects Edinburgh alongside a local committee of volunteers comprising:
Jan Benjamin, Jon Davey, Jenny Martin, Jude Nixon, Gaby Porter and Karl Stern.

Visiting Art Walk Weekends
Art Walk Weekends is situated across the coastal district of Portobello and Joppa at Edinburgh’s seaside, 3 miles away from the city centre.
We recommend travelling by public transport to reach Art Walk Weekends with frequent bus services running from the city centre (19, 26).
Brunstane Railway Station is also a 10-minute walk away with regular trains every 30 minutes from Waverley Station.
For cycling around the venues we recommend use of Porty Bike Library.

Help with Travel and Access
We introduce for the first time this year, a travel and access bursary for people who may require extra financial support to help them attend events. The bursaries are for those facing financial barriers, such as requiring help towards travel costs, childcare, interpreters, support worker or carer costs which may prevent them from otherwise attending our events.
Please email us for more information at weekends@artwalkproject.co.uk.
Available on a first come, first served basis.
