Jenny Martin

Art House 40
Address: 7 Esplanade Terrace
Open: 6/7 and 13/14 September, 10am-6pm
Also open by appointment (8th – 12th September)

Jenny has taken part in the Artwalk since it began and will show a selection of her work from that period, celebrating her interest in the landscape of Portobello and the subsequent development of her work.

Jenny is a painter and printmaker, working in screen and lino prints. She will be showing mainly her printmaking at this year’s Art Walk, the subject of which spans landscape, still life and significance of places and objects.

This year is a good opportunity to see work which has not been exhibited for several years and see the progression of Jenny’s inspiration and ideas. Jenny makes her lino prints in her home studio, and visitors will be able to see her working methods and some of the tools and equipment used to make her prints.

As well as her extensive printmaking practice, Jenny is a painter, and an elected member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW). She exhibits throughout the UK and has work in public and private collections worldwide. She regularly exhibits in the Royal Scottish Academy and has upcoming exhibitions at the Morningside Gallery, Edinburgh, and Iona House Gallery, Woodstock.
