Peter Jones presents work from his newly published ‘St Andrews, a book of paintings’; colour drawings of ‘Neighbouring Orchards’ apple blossom; and a selective retrospective from previous Art Walk years.

Peter’s recent work includes paintings featured in ‘St Andrews, a book of paintings’ published in April 2025. These pen and watercolour portraits of buildings in the town, produced in situ, aim to capture the conditions on the day, as well as the character of each building. To connect with the Flowering Porty and Neighbouring Orchards themes, Peter will also be exhibiting colour drawings made with the subject in front of him, of apple blossom from across Portobello and Craigmillar.

Peter’s Art House will include a retrospective of work previously exhibited at: The Ramphouse (2016-2019); 15 Marlborough St (2021-2022); and Tribe Porty (2024). This includes Portobello, seascapes, Carrick, Falkland, lockdown pieces, everyday objects, and trees in charcoal and watercolour.

Recent exhibitions include a one person show at The Sproson Gallery, St Andrews, in connection with the St Andrews book.Springtime Bipolar Edinburgh workshops at The Botanics connect with the apple blossom theme.
