The application covers your contact details, exhibition preferences, artwork description, and supporting materials. You will be asked for:

Your exhibition choice, venue address and supporting details
Your contact details
An artist summary – describing the work you wish to show, including medium and subject matter (no more than 200 characters, approximately 35 words)
An artist statement – providing more detailed explanation of your artist practice, including materials used and processes (no more than 1000 characters, approximately 160 words)
(For Art in Shops’ submissions) – provide a description of how your proposal relates to this year’s festival subject title, as detailed within the guidance information (no more than 1000 characters, approximately 160 words)
Details of additional events (type, date/time, description)
5 high-quality images (jpg or png only, sized to 1500 pixels at their widest point. See note below.)
A personal CV (upload as pdf or Word doc)

Please note we cannot guarantee placement with your first venue of choice. We aim to match artists to appropriate venues based on the type of work proposed, once we have selected all artists.
Two artist awards will be offered to selected artists applying through our Art in Shops strand (offering £800 per artist to support the making of new work).

Images

Please upload 5 images that best represent your recent work. One of these images should be an artist at work or studio shot. If applying as a collective, we require images that show the breadth of work in the collective not just one artist’s work.

All images should be recently taken (over the last 2 years) be cropped without frame or borders, and be sized to at least 1500 pixels at their widest or tallest point.
Before uploading, please save images with your own name so that we can easily identify them as your work.
